00:00:04: Hey everyone and welcome back to another episode of the Haar& Podcast.

00:00:09: I'm Maya and today we're diving into a really exciting topic.

00:00:12: Why should international students choose Haar& University of Applied Sciences as their first choice for studying abroad?

00:00:19: And I'm Abinath, both of us study international business here at Haar&.

00:00:23: So we experience the international vibe every single day in our lectures, projects and just everyday student life.

00:00:30: Exactly.

00:00:31: Whether you're listening from Germany or somewhere halfway across the world, this episode is all about what makes Haar and a great place to study, not just academically, but also in terms of community, lives and opportunities.

00:00:43: And if you're thinking about studying abroad, we'll walk you through what makes Haar and special and later in this episode, we'll also explain how you can apply and what you need to get accepted.

00:00:55: Perfect, let's get started!

00:00:57: Segment one.

00:00:58: What makes HIN stand out academically?

00:01:02: So first, let's talk about studying at HIN.

00:01:05: As a University of Applied Sciences, HIN is all about combining theory with practice.

00:01:10: Instead of just listening to lectures, you work on case studies, group projects and real-world applications that connect what you learn to business and technology.

00:01:19: Many professors here have worked in industry before, so they bring a lot of real experience and examples into their teaching.

00:01:25: that makes learning much more relevant and interesting.

00:01:29: Yeah, and that's what I really like.

00:01:30: It's not only about memorizing theory, it's about understanding how to use it.

00:01:35: Professors often share projects from their own carriers and you can ask them about how things work in real companies.

00:01:43: Exactly.

00:01:44: And for international students, the best part of the time offers a wide range of English thought programs.

00:01:50: There's international business, international business and intercultural studies, applied artificial intelligence and software engineering, among others.

00:01:57: That's great for students who don't speak German yet.

00:01:59: You can study completely in English and still live in Germany, which is the best of both worlds.

00:02:05: Yes, and if you do want to study in German later, there are also language courses and even double degree options with partner universities.

00:02:13: that flexibility is one of high-end's biggest strengths.

00:02:16: Segment two, the international atmosphere.

00:02:19: Now, let's talk about something that really defines high-end, the international atmosphere, even though Hybron isn't a big city at the campus fields global.

00:02:27: Definitely.

00:02:28: In our program, there are students from so many different countries from all across Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

00:02:36: I think that's one of the best things about studying here.

00:02:39: It really is.

00:02:41: Every group project feels like working in a small international team.

00:02:44: You get to learn about other cultures or the ways of thinking and that's something that prepares you for global careers later.

00:02:50: And the students here are really open-minded.

00:02:52: People talk to each other easily.

00:02:55: I've met so many friends just by sitting in the cafeteria or joining small study groups.

00:03:00: Same here and high-end celebrates that diversity with events like the International Day.

00:03:06: It's one of my favorites.

00:03:08: Students from all over the world bring food, music and traditions from their countries.

00:03:12: The world campus turns into a colorful mix of cultures.

00:03:15: Yeah, that's a fun day.

00:03:16: You can travel around the world without leaving the campus.

00:03:19: That's

00:03:19: so true.

00:03:20: It's a great example of how international high-end really is.

00:03:23: Not just a name, but an everyday life.

00:03:26: segment three, support for international students.

00:03:29: Of course moving to another country can feel overwhelming at first, but her end makes the transition really smooth.

00:03:35: The international office is there to support students before and after they arrive.

00:03:39: They help

00:03:40: with applications, visa documents, accommodation tips and all the little things that can be confusing at the beginning.

00:03:46: Yeah, they were super helpful when I was supplying and when the new students arrive.

00:03:51: There's an orientation week with workshops, tours and meetups, so you don't feel lost when you start.

00:03:58: Right, and HIN also runs a buddy program, where local students help international students settle in.

00:04:03: Bodies help with things like finding a way around or registering in the city or buying your first train ticket.

00:04:10: One of my friends told me his buddy even met him at the train station when he arrived.

00:04:15: that made him feel really welcome.

00:04:17: Okay, that's such a lovely example.

00:04:20: Those mild gestures make a huge difference when you far from home.

00:04:24: And of course, there are also German language courses offered by HAN.

00:04:27: So even if your program is in English, you can start learning the language at your own pace.

00:04:32: Yeah, and people here appreciate when you try.

00:04:34: Even a few words in German can open doors.

00:04:37: Exactly, and it helps you connect with locals much faster.

00:04:44: So, what's life like in Taiwan?

00:04:46: Honestly, it's such a nice city for students.

00:04:49: It's big enough to have cafes, restaurants, shops and events, but small enough to feel personal and safe.

00:04:56: Everything is within walking or biking distance, which makes student life easy and affordable.

00:05:01: Yeah, and it's a very comfortable place to live.

00:05:03: And I love that you can spend time by the Nekka River.

00:05:06: It's perfect for studying outside or just relaxing with friends.

00:05:10: Exactly and it's super easy to take day trips to Stuttgart, Heidelberg or even Frankfurt if you want to explore.

00:05:16: Public transport is great and you can even use student discounts for travel.

00:05:21: Plus living costs are much lower than in bigger cities like Munich or Berlin.

00:05:25: That really helps when you're living on a student budget.

00:05:28: Absolutely.

00:05:29: And Hybron is also growing fast.

00:05:31: New innovation park, artificial intelligence, the EPI is being built here and it's already attracting tech companies, startups and researchers from all over Europe.

00:05:41: Yeah, that's exciting for anyone interested in technology or business.

00:05:46: There are more opportunities coming every year.

00:05:49: Segment five, career opportunities.

00:05:52: Speaking of opportunities, HIN is located in Baden-Württemberg, one of Germany's strongest business regions.

00:05:58: This area is home to global companies like Audi, Bosch and SAP.

00:06:03: Plus many successful medium-sized businesses.

00:06:06: That means there are tons of options for internships, projects and jobs during and after your studies.

00:06:12: And because Haan is a University of Applied Sciences, internships are often part of the program.

00:06:18: So you get experience before graduating.

00:06:21: Exactly.

00:06:22: And if you need help, finding one high-end career service is there for you.

00:06:26: They organize career fairs, workshops, inviting CVs and company visits.

00:06:31: You can meet recruiters face-to-face and get real advice about your career path.

00:06:35: I went to one of the career fairs last semester.

00:06:38: It was great.

00:06:39: I talked to companies from this region and many of them are open to hiring international students.

00:06:44: That's true.

00:06:45: And since so many companies here work globally, they value English-speaking students with international mindsets.

00:06:51: So starting at high-end isn't just about your degree, it's also about building your future network.

00:07:00: Now, let's talk about something really practical.

00:07:03: How to apply and what you need to get accepted at high-end.

00:07:06: If you're an international applicant, here's the basic process.

00:07:10: First, you need to make sure your school diploma or university degree is recognized in Germany.

00:07:15: That usually is done through the Center for International Students in Constance.

00:07:20: The Student Colleague Constance, they check if your qualifications are equivalent to German ones.

00:07:26: And if you come from countries like India, China or Vietnam, you'll need an APS certificate.

00:07:32: It's like a pre-check for your documents before you apply.

00:07:36: Right.

00:07:37: Then you will apply online through high-end application portal usually before July.

00:07:41: fifteenth if you want to start in the winter semester.

00:07:44: You'll need to upload your school certificate or degree certificate of recognition from Constance, proof of English prophecy like IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge, a short CV and sometimes proof of practical experience.

00:07:57: It's also important to check if your program requires extra documents for example a motivation later or specific grades in certain subjects.

00:08:05: Exactly.

00:08:06: And if your program is partly in German, you will also need proof of German language skills.

00:08:11: Usually be one, no be two level.

00:08:13: Once your documents are checked and accepted, you will get an admission letter from HAN.

00:08:18: After that, you can apply for your student visa, arrange health insurance and prepare for arrival.

00:08:23: And the international office sends every detailed instructions after admission.

00:08:28: So don't worry, you won't be alone in the process.

00:08:31: That's true.

00:08:32: They even help with finding accommodation and offer advice on things like opening a bank account or registering in Hebron.

00:08:39: So the key takeaway, start early, read the requirements carefully and don't hesitate to ask an international office if you're unsure.

00:08:47: They really do respond quickly and they're super helpful.

00:08:50: Segment seven, our perspective.

00:08:53: Looking back, I'd say high-end is the perfect mix of practical learning, international community and personal support.

00:08:59: It's a place where you don't just study, you grow.

00:09:03: Yeah, I feel the same.

00:09:04: The classes are small so professor know you personally and because students come from everywhere you learn how to communicate across cultures.

00:09:12: Exactly, it's not just a university, it's an experience that prepares you for life after graduation.

00:09:22: So to wrap it up, if you're looking for a place to study abroad that combines practical education, strong career connections and a welcome international environment, Hybron University of Applied Sciences might be your perfect choice.

00:09:35: Yeah, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to study in a place that feels like a community, not just a campus.

00:09:42: You will find great people, great professors and plenty of opportunities to build your future.

00:09:47: That's it for today's episode of The Haaren Podcast.

00:09:50: Thanks so much for turning in.

00:09:53: We hope this helped you understand what studying at HAN is really like and how you can become part of our community.

00:09:59: If you want to learn more, check out the official HAN website or contact the International Office.

00:10:04: They'll be happy to help you with your application.
